My Story
My mom took me to my first yoga class when I was 13 and in pain from a chronically-bruised tailbone (figure skating is not for the faint of heart). The relief I got from that class will never leave me.
In high school and college, I would tag along to Ashtanga with my aunt. I left sweating and shaking from the exertion, but in a state of peace from the meditative repetition I couldn’t find anywhere else.
The women in my life opened a door for me to trust my body and mind in an ever-evolving yoga practice. In 2021, I took the next step by completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training at the Ashland Yoga Center. I continued my education in 2023 with a 100 hour prenatal and postpartum yoga and movement training in Portland with Next Wave Birth.
I am called to help people feel better in their bodies. If just one person walks out of class with a lighter step, I am happy. Teaching pregnant and postpartum people is the greatest honor; to be a small part of your parenthood journey by encouraging healthy movement and creating space for community is my ultimate goal.

“Cat’s prenatal yoga class was what helped me stay flexible, strong, and centered during pregnancy. My favorite part was how connected it made me feel to baby. I could tell he was benefitting from my calm and focused energy during and after class.”
